Built for the weather
Our outdoor rugs are made from durable synthetic fibres such as polypropylene and recycled PET — the same material as plastic bottles, given a second life. These fibres resist fading in sunlight, don't absorb water the way wool does, and dry quickly after rain. Some are reversible, and many are suitable for use indoors too, in kitchens, conservatories and busy hallways.
Sizing an outdoor space
Treat the terrace like a living room. Under a garden table, allow 60 cm beyond the table edge so chairs stay on the rug. For a seating area, the front legs of every chair should rest on it. On a small balcony, a runner or small rug softens the floor without crowding the space.
Care and storage
Shake or sweep off leaves and dirt regularly, and hose down with water and mild soap when needed, letting the rug dry fully before rolling. Lift the rug in prolonged wet weather or over winter, and store it clean and dry — it will last many seasons longer.
